'Your lawyer is too picky'

That's the phrase this person told me when I explained to her all the documents they filled out for me were all wrong. Because some people don't wanna do things for you- as a human being- I had to tell her my lawyer had reviewed all the documents and they were all wrong.

The truth is, they were. The lie is, I didn't see any lawyer.

On Friday I drove to Portland, ME (*) in order to have those documents corrected. There are specific guidelines to fill out this specific document and the guidelines hadn't been met before. I submitted this document to the company I was supposed to, but they got rejected and I received a letter I had to submit them again signed and completed correctly. That's why I drove up to Portland, only to come back with exactly the same documents.

(*) about 1.20 hours from my place in NH

When I got home I checked the copies they gave me and compared them with the previous copies. They were EXACTLY the same. Nothing had changed... even the envelope they gave me the documents in was the same.

I was confused.

So I logged into this company's web site to check the instructions on how to fill out this document.
Am I "too picky" because I want to follow the instructions on how to fill that document? Because I want those documented to be accepted?

"Your lawyer is too picky" she said.
When I paid almost a thousand dollars for something, you can bet your ass I'm gonna be TOO PICKY.

PS. Before leaving the office I made sure everything was done the right way, the envelope I received met the company's guidelines and I hope with all my heart that was the last time I had to drive up to Portland because of this.
