The Ladybug

Nicole loves drawing and making up stories. One of the last days while I was living in NY, she made up this story about a ladybug and she asked me to help her write it. She'd done all the drawings, but she also wanted to WRITE the story.

She showed me her story and I thought it'd be a good idea to use Gary's talent at drawing to draw a little book for her and give it to her as a surprise. We worked hard on it as there were so many things to retouch and even though I loved working on it, working with Photoshop, Picasa, Photo Impression and other photo program was a real pain in the neck.

the ladybug came out really big in the rest of the drawings... but it was just for fun and when we started 'editing' the book I couldn't fix it so we left it like that. It's like a joke between Gary and I now... the 'turtle' ladybug.

The bunny is also another joke. To me it looks too big - so we named him 'the bunny/dog.' It came out WAY too big... but we liked it :)

I think it came out pretty nice. We're still trying to figure out how to print it out and create the book for her. She wanted like 8 copies of her own book (she wanted to send it to several members of her family) so we'll try to do that.
