Lucas

IDK if you all know about Lucas, but most of you know that my brother is very sick.

I'll let you into a lil health history to know what's going on with him.
He was born premature and my mom had Hepatitis. He was kept in the hospital for 2 weeks because he was all yellow. He always had some problems in his eyes, he didn't speak until he was 4 1/2 and by the time he got into kindergarden his teacher told my parents there was something wrong with him. He was cross-eyed. One of the best eye doctors in Argentina performed the surgery and he was fine -though he still has to wear glasses.
When we moved to a new city my mom enrolled him to a private kindergarden and he was there for 5 years. Yes. 5 years. He was kinda 'kicked out' but by then my mom knew there was something wrong with him.
After 11,000 tests, the doctors told my mom Lucas suffered from 'retraso mental leve' which in English means that his brain doesnt work the same way normal brain works. His body has one age and his brain has another.
Even though he's almost 30, he doesnt process life the way most 30 year old guys do. His brain age is between 9 and 13. It depends on the day...
He's very agressive, extremely strong and HUGE! He's about 6'1" and he weights over 200lbs.
As his agression got bigger thru the years, he takes medication for that. He goes twice a week to theraphy with the same therapist since he's 13, he does horsetherapy also. He plays soccer, goes to the gym and also takes guitar lessons (noone has ever seen him play)...

Anyway, in 2007 he started having seizures.
They're called black-outs. He can be having breakfast and suddenly his eyes turn back and for about a minute he's lost in space. When he comes back to normality, he doesnt even know who he is.
He went to the Fundacion Favaloro (one of the most important clinics in Argentina) and they did some tests on him. He has his next appointment on 3/12 so that time they'll tell my mom what he has, or what kind of medicine he can take. His regular doctor told my mom there's nothing else he can do for him, that's why he sent him to this place in Buenos Aires.

I feel :( for my mom... she's been dealing with this HER WHOLE LIFE and even though she's with my dad and everything, she doesnt have his support. He's like invisible. He's a great guy, but I guess he never accepted the fact that Lucas was born completely different from us. I bet it must be difficult for a father to accept his own son is not like the other 2 children.
