Circle of Friends

The kids were up at 6.30am so I put the TV on while I did all I had to do in the house. I just couldnt stand them bugging me so early in the morning, so I cleaned the house bet/ 6.30am & 9am and by the time I came back from carpool, the house was clean and I did nothing.
After school we all went to the park as we had a playdate with Z&T. I don't like those kids.
But I'm starting to be friends with their nanny, Melissa, so that's a good thing.
She is a really cool girl and I enjoy talking to her. She's gonna find out how to get me into he account at her gym, so we were talking about that today.
She's very smart and very nice.

After coming back from the park I cooked dinner for the family and I got ready to go meet Agata for dinner.

Agata and I have been friends for about a year. She was a nanny of one of the kids at school and we became good friends. She got engaged over Christmas and she was coming today to PW to have dinner with her best friend. She called me yesterday -as I hadnt seen her since August- and we met today for dinner. Her fiancee also came with her and we had dinner at TGIFridays.

I'm happy I'm meeting new people and broadening my circle of friends. It's not easy to make friends in NY, but thanks God I've managed to make a nice group from different countries and cultures. I'm ok with the Jews, the Latinos and now I'm inmersing myself into the European community :) (Agata is from Poland)
I've always had that phrase 'Surround yourself with people who are going to lift you higher' very close in my heart. I do believe that. I believe I have to hang out with people who're gonna encourage me and make me be better.
Today I felt I'm also working on my all time-goal of being more friendly and meeting new people who have the friend potential or at least meeting new people and being nice to them.

I'm going to sleep with a :) on my face.
