The Lyrics Edition- otra vez.

When I moved to the States 10 years ago one of the 'winter' songs was 'Smooth' by Santana feat. Rob Thomas. As soon as I heard the song and saw the music video, I fell for Rob Thomas. He had this group called 'MatchboxTwenty' and I made sure to get all the Cds and everything :)

After a few years he did 2 solo albums, and the last one has a song called 'Her Diamonds'.
I loved the song as soon as I heard it. I liked several parts on the lyrics, especially where he says: 'and i don't know what i'm supposed to do, so I sit down and i cry too, but don't let her see.'

This past week I found out this song was made for his wife, Marisol, who suffers from lupus and if you see the video, it kinda shows how the girl is all 'frozen' but when she sees the daylight everything changes.

What I've always liked about Rob Thomas is the fact he can write great lyrics and make beautiful songs. Sometimes, all it takes is loving someone too much.

Have a great day! :)

Nada que ver con la entrada, pero la frase del dibujo tan lindo del costado del blog es muy similar a la que utiliza el chef Gustou en la peli "Ratatouille", no? Está muy buena la frase, y el dibujo (I thikn Gary made it... he did?)
