85 Dollars?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Argentina is a very funny country.
Politicians are funny, laws are funny, and people who work at the embassy/consulates are funny-por no decir idiotas y estupidos.

There are 6 Argentinean consulates in the USA: NY, LA, Atlanta, Miami, Houston and Chicago. Also, the embassy in DC.

Anyway, people in NY are so nasty and rude! that most of the time I end up calling the consulate in Houston (also the time zone difference is a big help). People in there are idiots too... anyway.

On Monday I received a letter that said I have to send copies of my passport AND the English translation. I was like: Uhmmmmmmmmm... My passport is in Spanish AND English (?).

Well... it's not.

This people wrote the Consular Passport in Spanish, French and Portuguese... as if, you know?, people living in the USA would use French and Portuguese. (i'm so very upset about this!!!!!!!)

I sent the copies to be translated (2 pages) and guess what? They're charging me $85 to translate 2 pages of my passport! TWO PAGES!!!!

After I got the email telling me how much they'd charge me for the translation, I left a (very upset voiced) message to this woman who did other translations for me. I told her: You charged me $60 for a longer translation, and for just 2 pages of a PASSPORT you're charging me $85????? it's just TWO PAGES!

When I hung up, Ryan said- kinda imitating me: 'It's just 2 pages! $85 for such a stupid thing!' LOL

It was funny how he said it- not funny I'll have to pay $85 to translate 2 pages!
