It's what's in your heart what really matters...

In 2007 I wrote a very angry letter to this guy named Blake.
He had been on tv showing off his 'idea' of making some shoes called alpargata which are Argentinean's peasant shoes (as he described them). They're ARGENTINEAN- ok?

After my angry email, which he kindly answered, I decided to leave him alone and not bother him anymore with my stupid comments and patriotism.

Dina bought a pair of his alpargatas - which are called TOMS here in the States.
The shoes have the same design as the ones in Argentina, but the guy did something different in order to target American people. It worked very well as many celebrities were spotted wearing these shoes.
After I wrote that letter Dina and I found out many things about this guy Blake. I included him in my MySpace's account and we started following his work around the world.
This is his Logo with the Argentinean flag colors:
What it's so important about this guy is the mission he had in mind when he decided to start this business. For every shoe he'd sell, he'd get a shoe for a kid in a needy country. The first drop off was in Northern Argentina and I think it was about 10,000 shoes. He set his mind to make this a yearly thing - give away as many shoes as he sold. He wanted poor children to be able to walk on comfy shoes and you should have seen the faces of some kids who, for the first time in their lives, were NOT walking barefoot!
I saw this commercial for AT&T and I wanted to share with you all. It shows a little bit about him and what he does, but also it shows what's in his heart - the act of giving... His kindness.

So that was it!
All I wanted to share with you.
Happy Sabbath!!
