While on vacation... I cook :)
I've been on vacation since last Thursday and ever since I came to NH I've been cooking and trying different things, but also enjoying some great time with Gary.
For those of you who don't know, it's the first time G&I spend a complete week together. We're having a great time and as we both enjoy good food and cooking, we've decided to take advantage of that.
The first 4 pictures show the great dinner Gary prepared for me the day I came to NH.
It's pionono de pescado with tomate and lettuce, a 'spring' drink and marinated meat with sweet potatoes. DELICIOUS!!!!
The following pictures show my piononos and how it came out so thick that I had to cut in half and make 2 piononos. I don't think it's any left of neither of them.
My empanadas were great! So tasty and so easy to make!!! I had a little trouble with the dough at the beginning. The recipe I got wasn't that good, but after a 2nd try it came out great! I made about 18 empanadas. Yum Yum!!!
As a wedding anniversary gift, I gave Gary a Sushi Maker kit. He's been talking about getting it for a VERY LONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG time, so I decided to buy the kit, and also a very nice Japanese set of Sushi plates and we had Sushi for dinner last night.
Hope you're having a great week, enjoying this beautiful spring and though it's still a little cold here in NH, from my window I don't see 'naked' trees anymore... the buds are coming!
