The Science of Sleep
Q. If you could take ONE thing with you to an island, what would that be?
Noe's Answer: My iPod or a CD player with my sleep CD in it.
Most of you know I listen to music to go to sleep. I've said that many times, and wherever I go I take my iPod with me. It used to be a CD player, a walkman... Now it's my iPod and I even got a playlist on my iPhone.
My playlist include 3 pieces by Bach, 2 by Chopin and 1 by Saite.
My playlist include 3 pieces by Bach, 2 by Chopin and 1 by Saite.
I've heard these pieces for about 8/9 years - give or take. I've gone EVERYWHERE with my music, and I came to the realization that I can't sleep without my music.
However, I have a problem now.
G. what's that music?
N. That's my music to go to sleep.
G. Hmmm... can we turn it off?
N. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I can't sleep!
G. It gets me nervous and I can't sleep.
N. So I turn it off.
G. Why don't we put MY music.
N. No. I just turn it off and I don't sleep.
G. Why don't you get your earphones on?
N. No. I don't want to sleep with them. I don't sleep and that's it.
Result?
I didn't sleep and I heard G breathe and turn this way and that way all night long!
I didn't give up though.
I bought another sleep music which he liked! :) It took me a while to go to sleep, but it worked ok. At least I didn't hear him breathe/move like the other night.
(thanks God he doesn't snore...)
