The countdown...

I was running errands on Thursday morning when I started thinking about datelines... countdowns... knowing how many days, hours and seconds are there to get what we want. 

To go on vacation...

To get married...

To have a baby...

To move to another country..

We count how many days til Christmas, til Spring, til our next paycheck.

We make reservations if we're going on vacation. We organize every single detail of our wedding. We make sure we have all we need to take to the hospital if the baby comes 1 or 2 days earlier.

It got me into thinking: I don't know the date. I don't know when Jesus will return.

Am I getting ready?

Am I preparing myself for that?
