Bon Jovi
The 1st leg of the LOST HIGHWAY US TOUR was on Saturday night at Prudential Center, Newark, NJ.
Di and I got tickets to go see them and we got very special treatmet as soon as we got to the place.
A guy scorted us all the way to our seats, and after All American Rejects were done we decided to walk around and check if some girls from the FCT were there.
We were so surprised when we saw the 'smirkini' girls... but at the same time we said: these f*****g w****s lol!! They're in every single concert. It's unbelievable!!! Anyway, then we saw a familiar face. LIGIA!!! She was there with some friends of her, so we started chitchating and she told us JBJ was gonna sing in a different place and oh god... were we happy!!! She also told us about her trips to more than 15 Bon Jovi concerts this year, and how she's going to Canada and some other places in Europe... She's crazy!!! (for Bon Jovi... that is)
The show started with a skit from SNL where Amy is sitting in her room writing her journal, and suddnely JBJ appears and talks to her. It was hilarious. When the skit was over the band came out and they sang 'You give love a bad name'. We've seen Bon Jovi play more than 6 times by now... and this time they looked so relaxed and so happy to be playing for us. My camera is kinda crappy for concerts, but I shoot some cool videos.
They sang a bunch of songs -new and old- and at one point the chords of 'These Days' started to play.
As last year when I heard 'Always' I started crying. I don't really know why, but that song was really emotional this time. I cried thru the whole song.
After the song was over there was a conmotion!!! Jon moved to one of the stages (about 10 feet from us) and we could see him very very clear and so close! Of course some people went C R A Z Y yelling and screaming, but it was awesome to see him so close. We all envied the girl who danced with him Bed of Roses (that's the video I upload from youtube).
Going to a Bon Jovi concert is a great experience and we're so happy we got to go this time and can't wait for 2008 to go again. We'll be going to some other concerts in FL and NY, again. It's my guilty pleasure at the moment.
I hadn't heard the new CD, but all the songs they sang from the new CD was really cool, so I've been listening to them to see what they're like on CD. There are 2 or 3 I like, so that's good. I'll record it for my brother for his bday. Or may be I buy the CD for him... that would be better I believe. :)
We met some people from Portugal, other couple from Italy and we again saw some Japanese girls.
When we went to Tampa, FL last year we had expensive tickets and crappy seats. That same day we decided we were not gonna rest until we got floor tickets.
We did it.
We got floor tickets.
We've seen JBJ 2 feet away.
He looked at us screaming!
He saw our sign in Giants.
And we got our dream... or at least, part of it.
I guess for as long as we live we'll get floor tickets... right? :)
