thoughts on halloween (*)
Christian parents talk a lot about how they want to raise their kids in a Christianlike environment. They play Jesus' songs in the car, in the house. They watch 'Veggie Tales' and all that shit. They put Baby Einstein to estimulate their brain, and all that BULLSHIT all Christian parents do.
Halloween comes around...
Oh how cute to get a costume!
What are you gonna be for Halloween? Are you gonna be a princess??
Are you gonna be a fireman?
Trick or treat?
HYPOCRITES!!!!
Fucking hypocrites
Taking your kids to church, sabbath school, pathfinders, religious school. What for?
To teach them it's ok to get a costume and celebrate a PAGAN feast?
I work/live with Jewish family.
They're NOT my kids.
Guess what?
When the Halloween topic started last year and the stupid question: who/what are you gonna be for Halloween? was asked... I answered: I'm just gonna be Noelia.
Noelia doesnt believe in Halloween.
Noelia doesnt ask what you're gonna be for Halloween.
Noelia doesnt celebrate Halloween.
Noelia doesnt go to Halloween parties.
I dont need a day to remind myself how evil this world is because I know that. Every day when I wake up I look at the picture of Jesus carrying the cross and I remind myself how fucked up everything is here that made the Son of God come to this filthy earth and die for me. and you. and all the idiots who buy candy/costumes for Halloween.
fuck you all.

I guess it just depends on how you look at things. I am confident enough in my faith and what I teach my children and we are able to have fun on halloween. We DON'T celebrate All Hallows Eve, we have a fun night with fun costumes and spend time together as a family. It's all about your perspective. Just because we let our kids go trick or treating doesn't mean we are celebrating evil and it doesn't mean we are pagans. It means we like to have fun and know how to do so without sacrificing our relationship with Christ. Just my opinion - feel free to erase it.
