ME on a DIET
Few weeks ago I weighted myself and I wanted to kill myself. Literally. I was weighting about 194lbs (88Kgs). I always weight in the same scale, so it wasnt that the scale was the problem.
I WAS THE PROBLEM.
To make the story short, I decided it was about time to start dieting/exercising again.
I fucking hate diets and excercising, but if I dont do that, I'm gonna end up 6' under sooner than I want... I have also some heart problems, so I decided the smartest way NOT to die of a heart attack was to attack my fat with exercise and diet. Again.
I've been on diets since I'm like 15 I guess... But you know how life is here in the US... whatever your size is, it's ok.
Priscilla, Andrea & I had joined the gym @ the beginning of the year, but after 2 months they dropped and soon I dropped too. 'The gym is too far' was my excuse. The gym IS far... but that was just and excuse, and paying $70 just to go walking in the treadmill wasn't even worth it.
I had read the book You on a Diet and I can say i was happy with the approach the book has. I even thought about starting the diet, and doing all that stuff. However, I was too lazy to do that. I bought the book when it came out and Dr. Oz was on Oprah. Anyway, last week I decided it was enough of me doing nothing for my health and I printed out my diet for 2 weeks, my exercises for 2 weeks and my NOT daily reading (also for 2 weeks). As you could see yesterday... i dont really read. I stack books and that's about it. My bathroom collection it's looking the same way as my nightstand.
So I've been on this diet since Monday. I started Monday coz it was the day I could go shopping for food and stuff. I can't do the WW coz I dont have meetings closer to home at the time I can go, and points wont work for me. i tried before when I was in TX. It didnt work... It works for some people (I admire you Tasha!!!) but it surely didnt work for me. As Tasha's weight day is Wednesday, I decided to make that day for me too.
Yesterday it was my first day and surprisingly I saw a 1, an 8 and another 8 in the scale.
OMG! 188lbs!!! That means I lost like 6 lbs?
I'm walking between 1/2 hour and 1 hour every day. It's about 10 laps at the HS track, so I'm excited about that. I really want to lose weight and I'm determined to do it! I needed a little inspiration and i've got it, so let's hope this goes well and I keep succedding in my weight loss.
On a VERY COOL note, my brother got his passports -his and the kids- and now we're just waiting for my SIL to get hers. If everything goes fine I'll be seeing them in about 2 months!!! So exciting!
