'You sound like an idiot'

this is the picture i fixed to make N&R's dad a puzzle for Father's Day. Ryan loves puzzles and i thought it'd be a good idea to make something like that for him on father's day. i'm not the kid and i'm doing stuff for him.

About my dad, he'll get a very nice card i bought him and i'm buying something for him when they come to the US next year. We'll see . I always surprise him with things, so that's ok. He's been my dad for 30 years... can you believe it?

Anyway, the title of this post comes after a comment Nicole made to Ryan in the bathtub. I had promised them to give them a bath and play the Dinosaur Race -we have 8 dinos we bought at the MNH- and while i sing the song 'Les Toreadores' by Bizet i make the dinos race and they crash into each other and one wins a gold medal and blah blah blah... it's a good technique to make Nicole eat. We played the Dino's race and after that we went to take a bath.

Suddenly both of them were laying in the tub and she said to Ryan:

You sound like an idiot

I didn't get upset. I GOT SO ANGRY! that i grabbed her and told her to NEVER EVER EVER say that to her brother again.

I curse.
I admit it.
I write bad words here, on myspace, on my letters to my paretns, on my cards to my very religious grandmother. But the only bad word these 2 kids hear from me is STUPID. i say stupid all the time coz i know myself and i know i would end up saying fuck this or fuck that. i'm even SO CAREFUL driving that i just leave my road rage on my house.... i didnt even take it with me when i'm driving with them. Of course i curse in Spanish too, but i make sure they dont listen to me cursing.
So when this happened i had a little talk with her and i asked her very nicely and sweet where she got that from.
the answer wouldn't shock me at all: T.
Z&T are the other twins who go to school with them and as far as i know their parents curse in front of them and are not good examples of good behavior.

When i was in TX i told Allyson -my ex boss- that they didnt watch TV and she was like: OMG! they dont watch TV!!!
Nope.
They just watch TV 2 hours a day: 1 hour in the morning before going to school (sesame st.), 1/2 hour at snack time (Curious George) and 1/2 hour with their daddy when they come home. they dont need more TV... some people would argue with me on this, but these 2 beautiful, smart kids, dont need garbage to fill their heads.
Is it hard to enterntain them with no TV? nope. we color, we paint, we read, we do plenty of stuff so we don't need TV.

In this aspect I have to say i'm a good nanny - i've enforced them into doing things they like. I taught Ryan how to play Twinkle Twinkle on his piano map- in the end he does whatever he wants, but he can play on that map for hours. Nicole and I color together and she's always telling me how good 'colorer' i am and she wants to be like me.

so, en sintesis, i had a good day with the kids today - except this 'idiot' episode. the mom knows about it and they told me they're gonna talk to her about it. i hope so.
Jackson came over and they had a WONDERFUL TIME. It wasn't that hot outside, but they played in the whale pool for a lil bit.
and i got my bday present from S&M- twins' parents. it's a book called OUR NAME IN HISTORY - THE SIMI NAME (SIMI is my last name). It's made by the Mormon church (LDS) and it tells the story of the last name, how many people live in the USA with that name and blah blah blah. it was sweet of them to do that. i really liked it and i learned things about the immigration in the USA.
Thanks God, I know where i come from.
