ANS is dead.

last night i went to G's house and for some reason he had TELEFE on his TV and they were showing 'big brother' - the argentinean version.
ok. this is what happened to me.
i was listening to the guys talking on the show and this was the conversation that followed:

N. i dont like the accent arg people have
G. but you talk like them
N. no i dont.
G. yes you do.
N. no i dont
G. come on Noelia, you do
N. I dont talk like that.
G. yeah- even when you talk in English people can tell you're from Argentina.
N. they cannot!!!
G. yes they can
N. no they can't... and i dont talk like that

i've lived in the USA for 7 years and i dont think i have that argentinean accent anymore. i have a strong 'y' and when i say 'yo' 'lluvia' 'llave' 'yogurt' people can tell i'm from argentina, but i'm definetely NOT speaking the same way argentinean people do.
it's funny how we change the way we speak, the way we use certain words and how we get 'stuck' with our own slang from years ago. i mean, we can still say things we say in HS, and among us (arg people) we understand what we mean.
but for some reason it felt weird to hear Argentinean spanish. lol. :)
G is from another country in SA so last night we were arguing about the Fackland war, and how Argentina, Chile, Peru, Paraguay and Bolivia got their independence. i couldnt have friends from this specific country (Peru) but i also never had friends from Chile. i could say i'm a little racist in this aspect - about Peru and all.
G & I watched the whole show and then we watched a special show on ANS's death.
did ya'll notice we shared the same initials? I'm ANS too.
how tragic....
lol

anyway, on some random notes i saw that Yahoo! news took a sec to write about CL, which was totally awesome.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070209/od_nm/web_encounters_dc
and it's true what it says. JC & i read R&R often and we just have a blast at all the stuff people write. mostly in NYC. he always tells me: people are fucked up.
and i do have to agree with him. we read so many things... and R&R in NYC are WEIRD. it's amazing how 8Million people can live in NYC and just 1/2 of them are normal. or may be none of them are.

I lost Di's movie. I think i said taht before.
Now, i can't find the pictures that i need for the movie. she said K is gonna do it for her. so i dont know why i wasted my time scanning, and doing all what i did.

G works tomorrow so he wont be coming with me to NYC. Andy and Priscilla are gone to PA for the weekend. they're going skiing somewhere. so i'll go to NYC on sunday. i really wanna go to the Statue of Liberty, but it might be too cold. it's about -10C right now. i can't believe i moved to this place where is fucking cold during the winter.
i wanna watch some movies this weekend as well, so i'll have to go to NYC as the theaters here close at 7pm, even on weekends! i'm really looking forward to seeing "the last king of scotland' as it's nominated for the Oscars. not as best movie though. but Forest Whitaker is, and he's the only one i havent seen.
i wont watch Letters from iwo Jima. not my style... but i've seen the other movies nominated for the best picture.
which one i like?
well... for once, i think an independent movie should win the Oscar for BP. 'Little Miss Sunshine' was an awesome movie!!! Babel and The departed were good too. I liked BABEL. Great movie.
I'll post my wishes on 2/24.
you'll then read the results on 2/25

Off i go to work. damn!
ya'll have a great day.
Noe
